Baofeng DM-1701 tutorial: How to setup as a Hotspot & connect to the Brandmeister network

A tutorial on how to create a Hotspot on your Baofeng DM-1701, & then connect it to the Brandmesiter network so we can communicate with other fellow HAM operators.
This is updated for 2024 as a few tutorials I have seen contain outdated information.
You need to have to OpenGD77 installed on your DM-1701 for this tutorial to work. Link for how to install OpenGD77 is in description below.
If you have OpenGD77 CPS already installed on your PC, then skip 02:14 & go to 05:55.
The noise you hear at 28:01 is because I had my DM-1701 close to my microphone & was causing interference when transmitting. The DM-1701 does not have this noise.
